Carolyn Helbert-Green, O.D.
Dr. Helbert-Green has been in private practice since 1987. She knew while in high school that she wanted to enter into the profession of optometry. "I had a great mentor, local Fort Worth optometrist, Dr. Leonard Pack, who was my optometrist growing up," she said. "My parents, both retired from the Fort Worth ISD were great role models and encouraged me to pursue my career goals. I feel fortunate to have parents, teachers and my community to support me along the way," Dr. Helbert-Green says.
Today, Dr. Helbert-Green is a board certified Therapeutic Optometrist with 28 years of experience in comprehensive eye examinations, treatment for ocular injuries and diseases. She has a great team that will assist her patients in the style selection of eyeglasses for all ages. She routinely co-manages her patients by providing both pre and post-operative services for those that desire LASIK or in need of having cataracts removed. In her private practice, she conducts investigational contact lens solution studies for Alcon Laboratories, Ciba, and Bausch & Lomb. Dr. Helbert-Green background and experience as an optometrist include practicing with an ophthalmology group in Austin and the development of the eye clinic services at Kaiser Permanente in Fort Worth. From there she worked in private practice for 13 years with the Las Colinas Vision Center. |
In 2003, Dr. Helbert-Green was able to realize her ultimate professional goal when she opened her own practice Colleyville Vision Associates in Colleyville, the community where she lives, along with her husband and two children. "I enjoy providing eye care needs and services for friends and neighbors as well as my patients throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex," she said.

Crystin Webb, O.D.
Dr. Crystin Webb is a Therapeutic Optometrist originally from Bossier City, Louisiana. She grew up on Barksdale Air Force Base and graduated with honors in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. Upon graduation she began working as a technician for a local optometrist, thus igniting her interest and passion for primary eye care and vision preservation.
Dr. Webb graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston-College of Optometry. She completed her first externship at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic, providing primarily medical-based eye care to a local Dallas indigent population. She became proficient in treating eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. Her second rotation was at Plaza Vision Center in Dallas with a renowned cornea and contact lens specialist. She fit and evaluated specialty contact lenses for corneal anomalies such as keratoconus and post refractive surgery ectasia. Dr. Webb was awarded the VSP/AOF Practice Excellence Scholarship and the Alcon Laboratories Excellence Award for her desire to practice in a private practice setting as well as her knowledge in corneal pathology and contact lenses. |
Dr. Webb enjoys shopping, leading an active, healthy lifestyle, eating Cajun cuisine, and watching LSU football, Atlanta Braves baseball, and Dallas Mavericks basketball. As the daughter of an Air Force veteran, she especially enjoys providing care to our country’s veterans. Dr. Webb enjoys time spent with patients getting to know them not only as a patient, but also as a person.
Jennifer Hollis- Practice Manager, NCLE, CPOA
Jennifer has worked in the medical field for 12 years and 9 years in the optical field. As practice administrator she helps in all areas of the office and enjoys learning and teaching others.
She especially enjoys taking care of patients, problem solving and tackling new challenges. She is passionate about improving her skills and learning new aspects of the optical field at Colleyville Vision. Jennifer enjoys reading, watching movies, catching up on T.V. shows, cooking and trying new foods with everyone she cares about. She adores her black lab, Shadow, and loves to teach him new tricks. Jennifer loves to learn new things and is always willing to take on a new project. Jennifer recently graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with her Bachelors in Business Management degree and recently started working on her MBA at Texas Woman's University. |
Valerie McDowell -Contact Lens Technician, CPO
Valerie is highly experienced in hospitality and customer service and is very enthusiastic about growing in the eye care industry. She specializes in making sure that each patient leaves with a smile and helping them understand their accounting and insurance questions. She prides herself in time management and multi-tasking.
She loves the pleasant atmosphere of Colleyville Vision, her wonderful co-workers, and engaging with people to make sure they are having the best experience possible. She enjoys engaging in a variety of adventurous activities including paintball, rock-climbing, bowling, pool, fishing, Zumba classes, and swimming in the Texas heat. Valerie and her husband Kyle have two spunky daughters who keeps them very busy. It is her desire to grow in the practice as she becomes familiar with patients. She would like to complete her degree, become a home-owner, and go skydiving. |
Kelsey Donbar- Optician, ABOC
Kelsey is very excited to bring her optical knowledge to CVA. She has 3 years of optical experience and 10 years in the customer service industry. Kelsey also brings 7 years of management experience to CVA.
Kelsey loves to help people see. She enjoys watching a patients face light up when they are able to see clearly. She also enjoys serving those in need. In her spare time Kelsey likes cooking, organizing, watching movies, playing video games and everything outdoors. She is a fan of the Dallas Mavericks and enjoys going to games every chance she gets. Kelsey is also in the Dallas Millennial Choir where she sings, plays guitar and piano. Kelsey has started studying for her ABO certification and plans to finish her Bachelors in Business Management to maximize her knowledge and skills. |
Lena Dorack, CPO Certified, Pre-testing Technician
Lena joins the CVA team with a year and a half of experience as a technician in another optometric practice. She enjoys working with patients and learning about their history so that she can help the doctor decide on the best course of care.
In her spare time, Lena enjoys live concerts, trying new restaurants, hanging out with friends and family, volunteering, bowling and pool. She wants to be able to travel, try new foods and document her experiences so that others will try the delicious foods too. Lena graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Texas in Arlington and hopes to go to optometry school. While working with CVA she hopes to expand her knowledge of eye care and all the technology that we use, and learn more about optical. |
